I am so excited to share this Four Seasons Vail Wedding with you today. Kelly and Ryan's weekend extravaganza was nothing short of perfection! These two planned the most intimate and thoughtful weekend for their guests, some coming in all the way from Ireland. Leading up to the mountain wedding, we were on weather watch as the forecast predicted rain and snow. Living in this lovely state, you never know what you're going to get so when most gorgeous weather came out just in time for Kelly and Ryan's weekend celebration, we knew it was going to be epic.
The well planned weekend started with Vail's Friday Afternoon Club. Kelly and Ryan had tickets waiting for every guest at The Sebastian which showcased breathtaking views from the Eagle Bahn Gondola. Everyone was greeted with live music, games, food and drinks. This thoughtful gesture gave their friends and families a chance to meet, hang out and get to know one another. Following this fun time, guests were invited to a delicious Welcome Dinner which gave everyone a second chance to socialize and hear the story of how Ryan and Kelly blended their beautiful families. Kelly and Ryan met online when they were both single parents re-entering the dating world. They both lived in the Parker area, had kids similar in age, and there was so much in common between not only themselves, but their kids also. After weeks of anticipated nightly phone calls and a first date at Hacienda for lunch, sparks flew and Ryan and Kelly quickly became inseparable. This not only strengthened their romance, but it also gave their kids a chance to become best friends.
Five years later Kelly and Ryan stood together, hand in hand, in front of their families and closest friends to put into words what their souls already knew that day at Hacienda. Ryan looking into Kelly's eye and Kelly gazing lovingly into Ryan's eyes as they exchanged their heartfelt vows. One of the most memorable parts was watching their kids join together as brothers and sister when their parents became husband and wife.
Ryan and Kelly, from the moment we met, love and light burst through you. You're as beautiful on the outside as you are on the inside. It was a privilege, and pleasure, to document the first day of your new adventure together. I am grateful for the trust you placed in me and excited to share some of my favorite moments and memories with you. I’ve photographed a lot of weddings and this day truly took my breath away.
